Terms of Service

These Terms apply when you use LawnLink or getlawnlink.com to request lawn care, offer lawn care services, receive job updates, or interact with the LawnLink platform.

LawnLink is a marketplace platform

LawnLink helps homeowners and independent lawn care providers connect, request service, coordinate scheduling, receive updates, and handle payments. LawnLink does not directly perform lawn care services and is not the employer, supervisor, contractor, or agent of any lawn pro.

Allowed and not-allowed services

LawnLink is intended for basic lawn care and yard maintenance services. Both homeowners and lawn pros agree that LawnLink jobs should stay within the allowed service list unless LawnLink later approves and insures additional service categories in writing.

Allowed LawnLink services may include lawn mowing, string trimming or weed eating, edging along sidewalks and driveways, blowing grass clippings off hard surfaces, basic yard cleanup after mowing, leaf cleanup when selected, small recurring maintenance visits, before and after photos, and listed helper or crew support under a Lead Pro.

Not-allowed services include tree removal or climbing, pesticide or herbicide application, fertilizer treatments unless properly licensed and approved, irrigation repair, landscaping construction, hardscaping, retaining walls, snow removal, gutter cleaning, roof work, electrical work, plumbing work, trade-licensed work, heavy equipment work, and hauling large debris unless separately approved by LawnLink in writing.

Homeowners agree not to request not-allowed services through LawnLink or on the side during a LawnLink job. Lawn pros agree not to accept or perform not-allowed services through LawnLink unless they are qualified, equipped, licensed, insured, legally permitted, and specifically approved by LawnLink for that service category.

Independent lawn pro responsibility

Lawn pros are independent service providers. Each lawn pro is responsible for their own work quality, tools, equipment, transportation, staffing, safety practices, insurance, licenses, permits, taxes, legal compliance, communication, professional behavior, and ethics.

Lawn pros are responsible for any property damage, injury, theft, unsafe conduct, missed appointments, incomplete work, or other harm caused by their services or behavior.

LawnLink may require identity verification and background screening before a lawn pro can appear as available for paid jobs. Screening helps improve trust, but it does not guarantee safety, future conduct, job quality, or that a screened person will not cause harm. Homeowners should still use normal safety precautions.

LawnLink may provide links to third-party insurance providers so lawn pros can explore their own general liability coverage. LawnLink does not sell insurance, provide insurance advice, guarantee coverage, or act as an insurance broker or agent. LawnLink is not responsible for any insurance provider, policy, quote, claim, denial, exclusion, premium, cancellation, or coverage decision.

Some insurance links may become referral or affiliate links if LawnLink is approved by the provider. LawnLink may receive compensation when a user requests a quote or buys coverage through those links. This does not increase a pro's quoted premium through LawnLink, and pros should compare coverage, exclusions, limits, deductibles, state requirements, and price before buying.

Helpers and crews

A lawn pro may work alone or as a Lead Pro with helpers or a crew. Every person who performs LawnLink work at a property should be listed on the Lead Pro profile before paid work begins and may need to complete LawnLink safety requirements, identity verification, or background screening before working LawnLink jobs.

For LawnLink jobs, LawnLink pays the Lead Pro connected to the job. The Lead Pro is responsible for managing, supervising, paying, and documenting any helpers or crew members unless LawnLink later enables approved split payouts. LawnLink does not guarantee internal crew payment splits, employment status, tax treatment, or reimbursement arrangements between a Lead Pro and helpers.

Homeowner responsibility

Homeowners are responsible for providing accurate job and property details, including address, access instructions, gate codes, pets, hazards, sprinkler heads, rocks, toys, fragile items, property boundaries, parking instructions, and any areas that should not be serviced.

Homeowners are responsible for confirming that they have permission to request work at the property and for keeping the property reasonably safe and accessible for the scheduled service.

User conduct

All users agree to act legally, honestly, safely, respectfully, and professionally. LawnLink may remove users, block accounts, cancel requests, review disputes, or decline service when we believe there is fraud, unsafe behavior, harassment, property risk, payment abuse, or other misuse of the platform.

Users may not attempt to access accounts, admin tools, payment systems, customer records, pro records, GPS proof, photos, receipt records, or platform data that they are not authorized to access. LawnLink may limit, suspend, investigate, or remove access when security, privacy, fraud, abuse, or payment risk is suspected.

Payments, payouts, and fees

Payments may be processed through Stripe or another payment provider. Customer payments may include a LawnLink platform fee. For proof-first jobs, LawnLink may collect the customer payment before work begins and automatically release the lawn pro transfer after GPS/proof rules pass, customer approval is received, or the no-dispute waiting window ends. Final payout timing can depend on Stripe, bank processing, account verification, refunds, disputes, or compliance checks.

No off-platform payments or bypassing LawnLink

Users agree not to use LawnLink to find a homeowner or lawn pro and then move the job, payment, scheduling, or future related work outside LawnLink to avoid LawnLink fees, payment protections, review tools, proof records, or support processes. Lawn pros may not request or accept cash, direct app payments, checks, or other off-platform payment for a LawnLink job unless LawnLink gives written approval.

Any additional work requested at the property, including extra mowing, trimming, cleanup, hauling, recurring service, or work on another nearby property, must be requested through LawnLink before the work is performed. LawnLink may create a separate add-on request, updated price, payment link, proof requirement, and payout record for that extra work.

Users may not exchange personal contact information or use LawnLink job information for the purpose of avoiding LawnLink payment, job records, proof requirements, reviews, platform fees, or support. Off-platform side deals are outside LawnLink's payment protection, proof records, review process, support, refunds, and payout process.

LawnLink may suspend or remove users, withhold platform access, cancel jobs, refuse refunds, review payout eligibility, or pursue other remedies when a user attempts to bypass LawnLink, submits misleading proof, accepts off-platform payment, or encourages another user to avoid the platform.

Job proof and payout review

LawnLink may require customer prepayment, GPS arrival at or near the property, before and after photos, completion notes, homeowner approval, ratings, and platform review before a job is closed or a pro payout is considered complete. Missing GPS, missing proof, poor proof quality, customer disputes, unsafe conduct, suspected off-platform payment, fraud, or missing anti-bypass acknowledgement may delay, block, reverse, or require manual review before any payout release.

Expense and receipt tracking

LawnLink may let lawn pros record fuel and lunch receipts for LawnLink working days. Lead Pros may tag a helper or crew member on an expense record for tracking only. Receipt uploads are for recordkeeping only and must be submitted on the same working date shown in the app. LawnLink does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice, and pros are responsible for confirming whether any expense is deductible, reimbursable, or related to helper pay with a qualified tax professional.

Ratings, reviews, and disputes

Homeowners may rate lawn pros after completed work. LawnLink may review photos, notes, GPS events, payment records, ratings, and messages when handling disputes. LawnLink may help resolve issues, but users remain responsible for their own actions, work, property, and agreements.

LawnLink Community and public recognition

LawnLink may operate an internal LawnLink Community feature to highlight trustworthy service, customer compliments, rating trends, proof-first completion, and quality standards. LawnLink may display a lawn pro's name or business name, general service area, ratings, review count, badges, compliments, and non-private job quality signals.

Users agree not to submit false, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, private, misleading, or unrelated community content. LawnLink may edit, hide, remove, decline, or investigate reviews, comments, badges, and community content when needed for safety, privacy, fairness, fraud prevention, or platform quality.

Community recognition is not a guarantee that a lawn pro will be available, insured, licensed, background checked, or suitable for every property. Homeowners should still review job details, property risks, and service expectations before booking.

No guarantee and limitation of liability

LawnLink does not guarantee that a specific lawn pro will be available, that a job will be accepted, that work will meet every expectation, or that estimates will exactly match final pricing. To the fullest extent allowed by law, LawnLink is not liable for lawn damage, property damage, personal injury, loss, theft, user misconduct, missed appointments, incomplete work, third-party services, payment processor delays, or disputes between homeowners and lawn pros.
